Mexico is full of beaches. We visited several
during our trip. A group of six people went to minister
at "Puerto Escondido," A beach that is about
12 hours (driving time) from Oaxaca.
While we were in Veracruz, we also got to see their beach,
but only for a short period of time. God's agenda was
first, as we went to minister to the people of the city.
The last beach we visited was Tampico. There we got to
swim, eat, and just play. It was nice to unwind in God's
beautiful creation.
Going into a pyramid was a new experience for most of
us.
We visited a pyramid in "Chulula," during our
stay in Puebla. We had the privilege to go into the pyramid,
through its tunnels. They were very small and led to many
more places than you could ever remember. Most of the pyramids
in this city were buried under hills which served as the
foundation for many majestic catholic churches.
The mission trip lasted 11 days. During this time, we
got to see the hand of God move powerfully. We understood
that we are not only called to do His work, but we are
also equipped to do it.
A correct identity was crucial to this ministry, because
knowing that heaven is open for us enabled us to reach
out and touch people just like Jesus would. This is our
inheritance. We live it today.
